Eco-friendly Products

7 Hollows employs eco-friendly practices for today's conscientious brewers. We use beneficial insects to keep the hop eating insect populations down and only use organic pesticides and miticides derived from plant extracts if absolutely necessary.

Hops For Health

Hop oil is extracted from fresh hops through steam distillation and used to manufacture essential oils, soaps, shampoos, creams, candles and other products. Hop oil is best known for its sedative with tranquilizing effects and is used to treat hypersensitivity, nervous anxiety, depression, cramps, neuralgia, and migraines.

page1_pic1Welcome to 7 Hollows Farm! The farm is located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and shares its slopes with the George Washington National Forest on the outskirts of Orkney Springs, VA. Our 140 acre mountain farm was founded in 2011. 30 acres of which are slated to produce beer and ale ingredients. In 2014, we went into hop production with 1200 hop crowns on a 1.25 acre trellis. Expansion plans are in the works to extend hop production to 5 acres to grow custom hops for local breweries.  We are proud to be part of the Virginia hop movement.
